BEFORE
The existing concrete floor was worn, uneven and difficult to keep clean — unsuitable for a food & beverage distribution operation handling high volumes daily.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surface preparation is one of the most important factors for the success of any epoxy floor. Floor In uses the best and latest diamond grinding machines to achieve the required surface profile and maximum adhesion, preparing the substrate for the self-leveling system.
MOISTURE LEVEL
Surface moisture was measured using calibrated electronic hygrometers and ASTM F2170 compliance testing. Moisture content was kept within manufacturer specifications to ensure proper curing and long-term adhesion of the self-leveling epoxy system.
PRIMER
A layer of epoxy primer was applied to increase and strengthen the cohesion of the concrete surface. The primer is one of the most important steps in implementing epoxy floors — it seals the substrate and creates a strong, continuous bond for the layers above.
PUTTY
A layer of epoxy putty was applied to level the concrete surface, prepare the floors for finishing, and treat any worn or damaged parts — resulting in a smooth, uniform substrate across the entire installation area.
FINISHING
The floors were completely finished with self-leveling epoxy in the customer's preferred Light Grey N04 color. The smooth, seamless surface is easy to clean, resistant to daily wear, and ideal for a high-traffic coffee distribution operation.
